Pahrump Fire is often called to mutual aid requests aid for motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, brush fires and other types of emergencies.  Considering our outstanding relationships with our neighboring fire departments, we embrace the importance of helping each other when needed.

Over the past several days, Pahrump Fire responded to several mutual aid requests including a large brush fire in Clark County (Trout Canyon) and in Southern Inyo County (California) for a large wild land fire that threatened structures within the Town of Tecopah. 

Pahrump Fire responded to Trout Canyon with a 3500 gallon water tender, a Type 6 Brush truck, and a Type 3 Brush Truck.  Crews assisted the Forest Service after a lightning strike sparked the blaze.  

In Tecopah, Pahrump Fire crews in Tender 2 and Brush 2 specifically extinguished a church fire and protected other important occupied structures.  In total, Pahrump responded  with one (1) Class A Engine (2000 gallons), two (2) 3500 gallon water tenders, one (1) Type 6 Brush truck, one (1) Type III Brush Truck, and Fire Chief Lewis. 

Pahrump Fire also hosted a heli-team from the U.S. Forest Service.  H-525 with crew: Sup. Dave Mettam, Squad Boss Tim Turner, Senior FF Victor Guillen, FF Tim Noonan, FF John Brooks, and Pilot Dan Dudeck secured their aircraft at Fire Station 1 after fighting the fires with water drops and crew placement on Mt. Charleston.
